We're a multidisciplinary deep-tech research lab building an ecosystem for the next generation of critical & emerging technologies where theory, experiments, engineering, and commercial applications sit under one roof, so progress in one domain compounds across the rest.

That's the short version. The longer one is that most hard problems don't care about org charts. You can't push AI very far without better silicon. You can't trust that silicon without serious security. Materials, energy, biotech, robotics, networks — they keep colliding. We got tired of watching good work die at the edges of a single discipline, so we built a lab where those edges are supposed to meet.

Softwork Labs is a haven for independent minds. Not a slogan — a working rule. We want people who ask inconvenient questions, stay close to the experiment, and still care whether something ships. Papers matter. Prototypes matter more when they survive contact with the real world.

We're early. We're assembling the team, the tools, and the shared language across ten critical and emerging technology areas. Some days that looks like research. Some days it looks like engineering. Ideally it looks like both in the same room.
